Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada, is a Canadian actress famous for her character Bo on The Showcase series Lost Girl. Silk is an actress from Canada who was born in Fredericton New Brunswick. Ilkay Silk's parents are Peter, an academic and Peter Silk, known as an accomplished actor, director, producer, playwright, educator and Director of Drama, St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her first memories of playing rehearsals with her mother. Silk starred in numerous commercials for kids. She completed her studies at St. Thomas University with an Associate of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas produced two early shows: Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk relocated to Toronto for further development of her acting profession in November 1999. She then, over the next decade, she moved to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman is her future partner, which she met during her time in Los Angeles at an Actors Workshop. The couple was wed in civil ceremonies in the month of December. On April 10 2011 they renewed their vows at an Jewish ceremony in Fredericton after she converted to Judaism. Silk gave birth to a son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron, her second son was born on 13 May 2016. Silk's TV work includes her role in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland for which she won an Gemini Awards nod in 2009. In 2009, she was cast as the main character Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk became pregnant during production of the third season finale episode. The news was announced to the fans during the Showcase pre-show Season Three special on January 6th, 2013. Silk posted on Twitter on 20 June 2013, that production was underway for Season 4. The 4th of June, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures confirmed the start of Production for the Fourth season. CNN's Cable News Network named her performance as Bo and Lauren (Zoie Parker) on Lost Girl as same-sex couples as one of their most-loved TV Couples. E! named them as the most popular TV Couple for 2013. Entertainment Television. Due to the show's popularity, Silk has gained a large internet following via social media.
